Vinicio Hernandez M.D. offers specialized care and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of patients with cancer and blood disorders.
He completed his internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his residency in Internal Medicine from Greater Baltimore Medical Center, an affiliate of John Hopkins Medical Center. Dr. Hernandez obtained his fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He is board certified in hematology as well as medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hernandez’ clinical expertise is in the treatment of Leukemia and Lymphomas.

Having practiced in Orlando since 1997, it was Dr. Hernandez’ long time dream to open a cancer center in the Sand Lake area dedicated to patient care, “A Place of Hope and Healing”. Sand Lake Cancer Center opened its doors in October 17th 2005.
